Canadian newcomer Anna Sofia has already managed to attract a lot of hype around her Broken Perfection EP, despite being just seventeen years old. Her latest release is the video for ‘Don’t Play Pretend’, the centrepiece of the EP. She is transported into a world full of colour, which is both mundane and maddening simultaneously, perfectly capturing the innocence of the guitar-driven verses, and the addictive, stadium-ready chorus. One of the biggest things Anna Sofia prides herself on is realness; she writes her own songs based on her own experiences: “I don’t have a message. It’s just real life,” she explains. “My confidence comes from being myself and connecting with people.” -Dan Peeke
